Senior Software Engineer (Cloud & Infrastructure) — Fully Remote

Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI (required)
Location: Fully Remote
Travel: Quarterly travel to the Washington, DC area (Tuesday–Thursday)

About the Role

We are seeking a software-first engineer with deep infrastructure expertise—someone who builds systems on AWS, not just deploys to it. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys developing cloud-native services, shaping infrastructure through code, and working across application and platform boundaries.

The position is remote-first, with intentional quarterly in-person collaboration in the DC area.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop cloud-native software systems with scalability, reliability, and security in mind

• Build, extend, and maintain AWS infrastructure through code rather than manual configuration

• Develop internal services, tooling, and platforms that support infrastructure and operations

• Collaborate closely with software, infrastructure, and security teams in a classified environment

• Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy

• Participate in quarterly in-person planning and collaboration sessions in the DC area

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance

• Strong software engineering background with an infrastructure mindset

• Proficiency in Go (Golang), or strong experience with C, C++, or Python

• Hands-on experience developing solutions within AWS, beyond basic service consumption

• Experience building or maintaining distributed systems or cloud-native applications

• Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment with periodic on-site collaboration

Nice to Have

• Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, etc.)

• Experience building internal platforms, developer tooling, or cloud services

• Familiarity with secure, regulated, or classified environments
