
Linux Systems Network Engineer

This position allows 2 to 3 days of hybrid flexibility per week.
$200K-$230K
This position requires a highly skilled technical professional to support the design, development, testing, and deployment of operational networks in collaboration with government personnel and other contractors. The candidate must be able to work seamlessly within government spaces and independently prioritize tasks in a time-effective manner while reporting status updates to both internal program managers and government customers.
Cloud Environment Setup: Skilled in securely launching and configuring virtual cloud machines over SSH on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
Command-Line Expertise: Strong command of Linux shell tools, especially Bash, for system administration and scripting to automate tasks.
Network Traffic Analysis: Proficient in capturing and filtering network data using tools such as Wireshark, tshark, python-scapy, and libpcap.
Cyber Network Operations (CNO): Solid understanding of network operations and exploitation tactics.
Secure Routing Networks: Experience managing attribution networks for secure routing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Distributed Network Troubleshooting: Skilled in diagnosing issues across distributed networks, including systems communicating via local and remote tunnels.
Linux Security and Firewall Configuration: Adept at hardening Linux systems and crafting firewall rules with iptables and nftables.
Packet Routing Verification: Uses Linux tools to verify correct packet routing from source to destination.
